As a Sensor and Automation Engineer, you'll take the lead in pushing the boundaries of our Sensors, Testing, and Automation portfolio. Join us in our dynamic Group Engineering team at the Innovation Park and spearhead Research & Development projects that redefine industry standards.

WHAT YOU DO

  • You support or lead Research & Development projects within the Group Engineering which are related to sensors, test machines and automation.
  • You manage the programming and automation of different machines.
  • You design, construct, improve and maintain test benches in our lab.
  • You support the layout definition and the organization of a new lab and building.
  • You design and perform initial sample and proof-of-concept tests.
  • You prepare engineering documentation and presentations.
  • You organize and contribute to meetings and events with internal and external parties.
  • You are responsible to plan projects and to make risk estimations against technical unforeseen and potential delays.
  • You carry out several activities with a solid customer orientation approach.

 YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Robotics Systems and Controls, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent. In suitable cases of relevant expertise in the field, a bachelor’s degree can be considered sufficient.
  • You bring along expertise in sensors, actuators, electronics, and control systems theory.
  • Solid background in mechanical engineering and programming (e.g., Siemens Tia/Beckhoff/B&R PLC or equivalent, Python, Arduino, ROS or similar).
  • Practical experience in building machines is a plus as well as know-how in electric circuits design and usage of suitable E-CAD tools.
  • Ability to promote continuous improvement while achieving the desired results.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Professional level in English and German.
