Senior Mechanical Engineer Sealing (all genders)

WHAT YOU DO

• You provide state of the art engineering services to customers, internal sales and our internal Product Application Engineers in the field of Sealing Technology, Compounding and Dynamic Sealing Applications
• You bring high-level technical customer projects to a successful completion, leveraging our development capabilities such as FEA, Compound development, and production engineering
• You support our sales team in winning new projects by deploying your technical expertise and business acumen in front of the customer
• You act as a technical coach for new employees and students and provide training and seminars also for our customers
• You are in charge of groupwide acting research and development projects
• You support our Strategic Procurement team when it comes to cooperative development projects with our partners and supplier approvals
• You will report directly to A+P Group Sealing Development Leader

 YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of proven experience in sealing technology and in application engineering for sealings
• Familiar with CAE technologies and virtual product development
• Good knowledge of rubber compounds for sealing, material properties, production methods for seals especially for molded rubber seals
• Experience in design, function and development of dynamic sealing systems like linear seals and rotary seals
• Experience in a cross-cultural and international environment
• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• An open-minded person, seeking pragmatic solutions, who is ready to roll up her / his sleeves and connects quickly with her / his colleagues as well as with clients
• Fluent in English and Mandarin. Any additional languages would be a plus
• Ambitious, agile, independent, reliable and self-driven personality
